We hope the holiday season is treating you well and wanted to let everyone know our special hours for the next couple of weeks.  The studio will be closing early Wednesday Dec. 22 at 4pm. We will then be closed Dec.23 through Dec. 26 and will also be closed New Years Day. Feel free to email us as we will still be scheduling consultations and portrait sessions for the upcoming year! How about a cute newborn photo to ring in the New Year?

Christina and Brandon were the second couple this season to opt for the early morning engagement session.  We met them on a nice cool morning on Saturday at Highbanks Metropark, and finished up the photo shoot downtown by the State House.  Their son also joined us and we snapped a few family photos throughout the morning.  Christina came to me knowing exactly what she wanted from her wedding photographer – which was fantastic.  I always try to have a plan for every photo shoot, and when I know exactly what my clients are looking to get from their time with me it always puts my mind at ease.  It’s always nice to work with someone who is (almost) as enthusiastic about their photos as us!  There were so many favorites from our time with Christina and Brandon this preview is more of a random selection than a “favorites batch.”  Enjoy!

Natalie and Kris were married last Saturday at Confluence Park with the beautiful Columbus skyline as their backdrop.  Natalie told me a really cute story about how her and Kris started seeing each other.  Apparently her signature move had always been the cheesy “two thumbs up.”  When Kris gave her the same gesture when they first met she thought, “Hey, I need to hang out with this guy,” not knowing that her friends had put him up to it.  And now the rest is history.

A preview of our favorite photos from the day:

Trying to chase away some pre-ceremony jitters with some goofy photos…

So cute!

My favorite from the evening:

Candice and Edwin were married last Saturday, the very HOT 17th of July.  They were married at the Columbus Christian Center and held their reception at The Meeting Place just down the road.  We stopped at Creekside of Gahanna between the two for family portraits and a few portraits of just the two of them.  Here are a few of our favorites from the day…

Getting ready with Candice’s mother…

Candice’s custom-made wedding day shoes…

A quick post-ceremony hug…

Trying to stay cool at Creekside…

I think everyone was tempted to jump into the fountain for a quick cool-down.

The first dance…

Ally and Chris were married on Independence Day (oh, the irony) at the Historic Kelton House in Downtown Columbus.  It was a beautiful wedding full of family love (some of Chris’s family even flew in from the Philippines to help them celebrate), dancing and emotional toasts.  When I met Ally for the first time she told me how she had always wanted fireworks at her wedding, not realizing how expensive they are.  So, what better solution than to have their wedding on the 4th of July and have the surrounding communities chip in?  I think my favorite part was the sparklers at their fair well.  And now a preview of their wedding photos…

Ally’s fabulous red shoes…

(The flower girl refused to walk down the aisle on her own).

A wardrobe change and sparklers!

I have to add one more.  Ally and Chris’s dog, Dallas joined the wedding fun for the ceremony and group photos.  Isn’t he cute?
