I am so excited to share Mellissa and Noah’s wedding photos with you, but it is with tentative fingers that I write this post.  This will be the last post we complete on this old blog.  Looking back I suppose it hasn’t been with us very long, but it has been with us since the beginning.  Since when we were still known as Kyle Muza Photography, and through opening our first brick and mortar studio and becoming Little Tree Studios.  Tonight we will be launching our New Blog.  We hope to see you there, and plan on sharing many exciting things and events to come with Little Tree Studios.  Thank you for taking this journey with us.

And without further introduction, Mellissa and Noah’s country wedding…

Of course the only time it rained that day was during the time planned for the ceremony.  But no umbrellas necessary…

Connie and David were married in the stunningly photogenic St. Brigid of Kildare Church in Dublin and held their classroom-themed reception at the Josephinum.  Connie, a long-time teacher, beautifully tied in her theme with her fresh pink and green colors, and her knack for entertaining kids was clear when we saw at the reception a bucket waiting for each child filled with occupying goodies.  Connie and David’s biggest request for photos were fun group shots, and lots of photos of Connie’s grandchildren.  Kids are always the least reluctant subjects when we’re trying to hunt down willing photo participants at a wedding : )

Connie’s sassy pink shoes…

The flower girl must have been nervous about her upcoming duties…

My favorite of Connie and David from the day…

My favorite guest sign-in to date!

Christine and Bill were married on a beautifully sunny day at Scioto Reserve Country Club.  After dating for nearly a decade they tied the knot shortly before Christine graduated  from vet school (beauty and brains – nice catch Bill!).  Even though we weren’t lucky enough to work with them for engagement photos, we still got to see them before the big day when they brought their two adorable dogs in for our fundraiser for the Worthington Dog Park.  I was thrilled to be later photographing the wedding of such a sweet couple, but they sealed the deal for me when they showed up later that day with a fresh supply of dog treats and a brand new tennis ball.  After an exhausting day of wrangling energetic (and adorable) doggies their thoughtful gesture meant the world to me.

Christine and Bill, we couldn’t have asked for a kinder and more genuine couple for clients, and feel honored to have been a part of your beautiful wedding.

Not only was this wedding stunning and a photographer’s dream, but we were also debuting our brand new 35mm f1.4 lens.  I am in love.

I LOVE their wedding colors!  So fresh and crisp.

Christine, you make a gorgeous bride.

One of my favorite shots of Steve’s from the day.  Seriously, Christine – gorgeous.

Note the Nerf assault shooter tucked nicely in the back of the golf cart.  I knew I liked this group.

A good argument on the side of using a UV filter on your favorite lens…maybe not so much for the UV rays…

My favorite photos of Shannon and Drew’s wedding happened to be the first ones I took.  We had Drew safely tucked away in the stands of  The Shoe awaiting his and Shannon’s first look.  I was walking in with Shannon after meeting her in the parking lot when her son, Parker, got his first glimpse of his mom dressed in white.  He called out to her and ran clear across the dark and damp hall of the shoe and straight over to wrap her in a warm hug with his tiny arms.  Such a sweet beginning to such a joyful day.

Drew of course couldn’t wait to see Shannon and had to sneak a peek…

Check out Shannon’s killer shoes!

I have to credit Steve with the next two shots – especially the second one.  Shannon and Drew, I think you may have a ladies’ man on your hands…

Oh my goodness.  I could not get enough of Shannon’s vintage theme and her attention to detail.  I swear not a single centerpiece was the same, and she even included a different pair of salt and pepper shakers on every table.  I thought I had died and gone to photography heaven.

A couple of quick photos at the site of Drew’s proposal to Shannon…

…and on to the party!

Shannon’s sister wins the Little Tree Studios Awesome Matron of Honor award for this one.  She hand-made this stunning brooch bouquet…

Ok, I know I said the first photos were my favorites, but geeze, I really love this one.  Shannon, you make one stunning bride!

We had another fantastic wedding the evening prior with one of our sweetest couples, Tracy and Brian.  Their beautiful ceremony and reception was held at Wedgewood Country Club, and you can view some of our favorite photos on our Facebook page.

Lindsay and Tom were married this past Saturday at the stunning Athenaeum in downtown Columbus, and by a random act of kindness by mother nature it stopped raining long enough for us to take some quick photos outside before the ceremony.

I LOVE Lindsay’s vintage-style shoes – they complemented her dress perfectly!

My favorite thing about photographing weddings at the Athenaeum:  every corner of the building is full of beautiful and inspiring places for stunning portraits.

Lindsay surprised her mom with a mother-daughter dance right after her dance with her father.  So sweet.

One of the things I love:  all of the creative and inspirational business owners I am surrounded by here in Downtown Worthington.  Allison at Igloo Letterpress is no exception.  I keep telling Steve that if I didn’t have my own place and creative passion to follow I’d be begging Allison for a job.  Igloo Letterpress will be showcasing their work at the National Stationary Show next week and was in need of some crisp and clean product photography.  I had no idea they offered such a fantastic wide range of products!

To all of our current clients:  we’re looking forward to teaming up with Allison and her staff at Igloo to offer stunning custom letterpress cards featuring your images from us here at Little Tree Studios!

And now we’ll leave you to drool over Igloo’s gorgeous letterpress.

Not even half of the beautiful card designs that will be featured in their catalogue:

Wooden letters created by Little Alouette and inspired by Igloo’s wooden type.

This creative card design will be featured at the National Stationary Show next week as one of the year’s best new products!

Soap by Stinky Bomb (which smells a-mazing!) featuring Igloo’s fantastic wood type…
