Studio lighting.  It gets such a bad wrap, but I am falling in love.  With our new studio space in Downtown Worthington one of the biggest attractions was the huge window in the back that allowed beautiful morning sunlight to pour into our entire studio.  But lately I find myself using our nature-made light source less and less.  I love the look we’ve been getting with our studio lights, and they’ve allowed us to expand our creativity way beyond what we were able to achieve with natural lighting only.

Below are some of our favorite photos from a few sessions over the past few days.  All three sessions have both natural and studio lighting.  Can you tell the difference?

Fast times at Little Tree Studios.  We have some exciting news and updates to share with you.  Our own Steve Muza will be no longer be keeping shop for us during the day and will be starting grad school in Landscape Architecture!  Which means I will be cutting my day job back to part-time (woo hoo!!) and spending many more longed-after hours in the studio.  To accommodate this long-awaited change and our extremely busy wedding season we will be changing our normal business hours, and as always appointments are welcome outside of our normal hours. 

Tuesday-Friday:  Noon- 7 pm

Saturday:  By appointment

Sunday:  By appointment

Monday:  Closed

Be sure to check back soon for when we announce the launch of the newest division of Little Tree Studios!  We’re thrilled to share this exciting news, but we’re gong to have to keep you in suspense a little longer…

This was the first same-day edit for LittleTree Studios! The Hashimotos are moving back to Japan on Thursday and wanted some photos taken to help commemorate their time here in Columbus. For the past year Naohisa has been a visiting scholar at OSU in robotics. They are such a sweet family and I’m sure they will be missed here in Ohio.  We had a great session in the studio and even got to enjoy the nice weather outside today while chasing their adorable daughter around Olde Worthington.

I’m making a mental note right now to go out and buy some neutral-colored books.  I think our bright Winnie the Pooh books end up in half of our studio family sessions…

So I realize I’ve been posting a lot of our dog sessions on here lately – I can’t believe how many dogs we’ve had in the studio lately!  I love them and I really can’t help wanting to share them with the world.  We had a great session this morning with a Doberman named Max, and we had a bunch of other high-energy sessions today as well that I’m really hoping I can get on the blog later this week.  But, for now I’ll leave you to gush over Max.  What a sweetheart.
